about Japan Color Coordinator Association (J-color)

“A colorful life for everyone”

Since its establishment in 2003, the Japan Color Coordinators Association (J-color) has been actively proposing and engaging in activities related to “color utilization” and “practical application of color” based on color theory that is useful for everything from color education to business.

Understanding color can be enjoyable and reveal the roles that colors play. It can bring about changes in your daily life, be utilized in your work (business), and lead to many creative endeavors through the study of color.

In J-color usually say to “A colorful life for everyone,” J-color is engaged in various activities to contribute to society through color.

1.Certification Programs

J-color offers certification exams designed to assess and validate individuals’ understanding of color theory and its practical applications in various fields such as fashion, individual color, design, interior design, and marketing.

There are two types of Certification Exam in J-color that aim at learning and practical use of “color utilization” to actually using knowledge of color according to purpose and application.

 

▶ Personal Color Utilization Certification Exam
(Category: Level 3 ~ Level 1)

▶ Lifecare Color Utilization Certification Exam
(Category: Color Theory Basics, Interior design, Food, Digital)

・Objective:
To provide students with a systematic knowledge of color and to acquire practical skills.

・Types:
There are several certifications in different fields, each of which can be selected according to the level of the student.

・Advantages:
You can objectively evaluate your level of knowledge about color.
Obtain a certification that will appeal to employers when seeking employment or changing careers. Enhance your expertise in color and improve your career.

 

2.Educational Program Planning and Development

J-color plans and develops color-related educational programs and offers them to a wide range of audiences.

Lifecare Color Utilization Certification Exam

Category: Color Theory Basics, Interior design, Food, Digital

Life-care color” means “Enrich the hearts of all” and “Use color to improve quality of life.”
By knowing the effects of color and consciously controlling life by color, people can create an environment and space that can be used safely and comfortably. As a result, human beings can live a life that makes them feel fun and worth living.

Based on the study of color theory, people will learn “practical color use” to “enhance the quality of life” with colors in the necessary fields of interior design, food, and digital design.

Personal Color Utilization Certification Exam

Category: Level 3 ~ Level 1

“Personal color” is a “matching color” that matches the human pigment [coloring matter] tendency (eye, skin, hair color). It depends on the person what color is matching you. Wearing a “color to match good” will improve the complexion and make it look like a lively expression,
and wearing an “unmatched color” will make the complexion look bad and look like a dull and tired impression.
If you use “personal color” well, you will be able to create an image that takes advantage of your personality. If you can control the impression of appearance by “improve oneself branding” “self-branding” [Japanese say “Jibun Branding] with color, communication and self-promotion ability will be greatly improved.

You can learn in a step-by-step method from Level 3 to Level 1. And from learning to know the colors that suit you, you will acquire the skills to use personal color for different strategic purposes and to apply it from yourself to interpersonal and social business.
